The Foundation for Inter American Development (FIAD) promotes private sector development, projects, public-private partnerships and investments in the Caribbean and Latin America region. FIAD believes that public sector investments and assistance provided annually by multilateral organizations and governments can be maximized and multiplied through strong private sector participation. By partnering with organizations like the Inter American Development Bank (IDB), the World Bank Group, and others, the private sector can forge innovative mechanisms to build new infrastructure, modernize of the government functions, and build capacity at the national, regional, and local levels. These Public Private Partnerships will bring resources and know-how which is one of the keys to opening new opportunities and building new markets in the hemisphere. These initiatives will help build sustained growth and prosperity for the region. With this mission in mind, FIAD works with all stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities in the countries south of the U.S. borders. FIAD serves as a practical and impartial platform where business and governmental executives can learn and exchanges ideas and provide a network of resources experienced in the region. FIAD also promotes and fosters building strong relationships with Hispanic communities and leaders in the United States, as the emerging and growing Latino population seeks to build bridges and enduring partnerships throughout the hemisphere.
